We believe that now is the time for more wholesome media. It is our goal to provide an educational experience for 120 young music makers that guide our youth into a new day of Film and Media Production.

The Curriculum
Young music makers will have the opportunity to explore the entire music making process, including: Composition and Pre-Production, Studio Musician Basics, Capture (Interface and Mic Operation), Sound Recording, Editing Audio FX and Mastering. Our program provides them with the language and practice of music making, skills and confidence to join the growing community of young music makers worldwide with the experience and guidance of our industry professionals and instructors.

  • Learn to take a Composition or Song from initial idea, through development, arrangement, to a capture and edit for their final song master.
  •
  • Compose and develop music vocally and musically that will be highlighted in the films.
  •
  • Hands-on experience with professional level Recording equipment.
  •
  • Learn to edit their music with digital editing software and also learn about digital formats with regards to industry standards and other computer techniques.
  •
  • Then present their song and composition in music videos highlighted at the EMA Kids Film Festival of San Antonio.

This is an educational experience they will never forget.

Other skills learned in the program: Team Building, Time Management, Entrepreneurship and most of all Personal Discipleship/Christian Leadership. All this while exercising a creative process using some of today's top technology and professional production equipment alongside some of today's local professionals.

Each session per week is split between in-class instruction and labs. In our longer music programs, these subjects will be treated in greater detail and taken to a higher level. In each session students apply the lessons learned directly to the music they are making. Students in longer programs will be given more opportunities to develop their abilities in composition and production and employ what they have learned. The longer program will also give the opportunity to audition for the EMA Film Festival Band and perform a piece at the festival,

The music will also be uploaded to the web and broadcast on www.EMAFILMFEST.com! Then, the BIG EVENT, the music produced throughout the program will be submitted into the Annual EMA Film Festival 2017.
